Easy to park near the beach and Marina. Economical for Taghazout, Kasbah, restaurants.
Sedan or estate (Dacia Logan MCV)
Large boot for boards (in bag), tight-sealing doors against sand. Estate with roof rack if several longboards.
Compact SUV (Dacia Duster)
Mountain road to Paradise Valley, reassuring SUV height. Boot for picnic, stroller, beach cooler.

Local tips for the seaside capital
Agadir was rebuilt on a grid after the 1960 earthquake. Wide boulevards, fluid traffic off-season. In high season (Dec–Feb) the Founty–Marina axis saturates in the afternoon.
The N1 to Taghazout is narrow, winding, with many surfer minibuses and scooters. Careful on descending ocean bends. Fixed camera near Aourir village.
Free parking along the beach and corniche. Street attendants downtown (5–10 MAD/day, 5 MAD overnight) and near the Kasbah. Covered car park at Marina d'Agadir (10–15 MAD/h) for southern hotels.
Souss-Massa zone and route to Guelmim, Sidi Ifni, Tan-Tan: gendarmerie checks every 30–50 km. Nothing to worry about, quick procedure. Always keep contract, licence, registration and sticker to hand.
White grand taxis that cut across, surf minibuses, moto-taxis to Taghazout. Stay firm on roundabouts, signal exits early. Priority to whoever is already inside.
Diesel ~11 MAD/L, petrol ~13 MAD/L. Dense stations in town and along A3 to Marrakech. Fill up before the Sidi Ifni road or Anti-Atlas — rarer beyond Tiznit.
Calm traffic in town, modern A3 motorway to Marrakech. Mountain roads winding to Paradise Valley and the High Atlas.
Paid car parks in the centre (5-10 MAD/h). Free parking along the beach. Guarded parking near souk El Had.
Airport 25 km, Taghazout 20 km, Paradise Valley 35 km, Taroudant 80 km (1h), Marrakech 250 km (3h), Essaouira 170 km (3h).
Morning for the Kasbah (golden light and coolness), afternoon for the beach. Avoid 12pm-3pm in summer (intense heat).
Weather, demand and prices month by month

European winter-escape peak.
Pleasant 13–23°C

Recommandation KARVYX : Agadir runs on a reverse season: its high season is European winter (Dec–Feb) as Europeans flee the cold. Best months: May–June and September–October (23–27°C, ocean at 20°C, mid-range prices). Mild climate all year (never below 12°C, never above 32°C). Book early for Christmas and February breaks.
